Privacy Policy

BEC Technologies, a software studio in Panama. For any question about your data, write to us at gerencia@bec-technologies.com.

Only what we need to assist you: your name, your contact number (if you write to us on WhatsApp, it is your own number) and the content of the conversation with our assistant.

To reply to you, follow up with you, arrange an appointment with an advisor and improve our service. Nothing else.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for purposes unrelated to assisting you. Nor do we use it for anything other than what this notice says.

To provide the service we use infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, under their own security guarantees: Vercel (hosting of the application), Supabase (encrypted database), Anthropic (the artificial intelligence that generates the assistant's replies), Deepgram (transcription of voice notes), Web3Forms (sending of the contact form) and Google (the team's corporate email). None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

If a public authority asks us for personal data, we follow this policy: (1) we review the legality of every request before replying; (2) we object to requests we consider unlawful or excessive; (3) if we proceed, we hand over only the minimum information necessary; and (4) we document every request and our reply. To date, we have not received any request of this kind.

Our infrastructure providers process the data in the United States, under contracts and security measures that guarantee an adequate level of protection, in accordance with Law 81 of 2019.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the service runs on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. We process the data we receive through that platform solely to assist you, in accordance with this notice and Meta's platform terms. WhatsApp also applies its own privacy policy to your personal account.

Our site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We only use two technical cookies:

• a session cookie, used only for the BEC team's login to their internal panel; and
• a cookie called lang, which remembers the language you chose (its values are “es” or “en”) so we can show you the site in that language. It lasts one year, contains no personal data and is not used to track you, and it is only stored if you use the language selector.

Our services are aimed at businesses and people of legal age. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18; if we detect data from a minor, we delete it.

We keep your data for as long as there is an interest or a relationship with us. Contacts with no activity for 12 months are deleted or anonymized.

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data whenever you want:

• By writing to us at gerencia@bec-technologies.com, or
• By writing “ELIMINAR MIS DATOS” (Spanish for “delete my data”) to our assistant; the assistant understands that phrase in Spanish.

We will handle your request within a maximum of 10 business days. When deleting, we remove the data that identifies you (name and number); the content of the conversation may be kept in anonymized form (unable to be linked to you) for statistical purposes.

We protect your information with encryption and restricted access: only the BEC team, by logging in, can see the conversations.

We process your data in accordance with Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Panama. If you believe we have not properly handled a request about your data, you can go to ANTAI (Autoridad Nacional de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información, the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information), Panama's data protection authority.

If we change this notice, we will publish the updated version here with its new date. Important changes will be communicated through the same channels where we assist you.
